2006 Chrysler Pacifica

2006 Chrysler Pacifica
Pacifica is specially tuned to deliver agile sport sedan cornering and handling, making it fun to drive. Its sophisticated five-link rear suspension, self-leveling rear shock absorbers, precision variable-assist rack-and-pinion steering, and large tires on wide wheels make it an outstanding sports tourer for the open road. Yet, Pacifica is equally at home in the city, steering through traffic with an excellent ride that is exceptionally quiet.

Pacifica follows no one. It's the only sports tourer with the standard AutoStick® transaxle powering a 3.5-liter V6 engine. AutoStick gives you the performance of a manual transmission and combines it with the carefree driving of an automatic, allowing you to stay ahead of the curve.2006 Chrysler Pacifica
All Pacifica models are capable of towing trailers up to 3,500 pounds with the addition of an appropriate hitch. That means you can tow your boat to the lake or bring along the family camper for a long weekend.

2006 Chrysler Pacifica
Pacifica models come with a standard 250 horsepower 3.5-liter V6 engine that provides 250 lb-ft of torque at 4,000 rpm, and a throttle response that performs better than you may expect. Couple this with the AutoStick®, available full-time all-wheel drive (AWD), and load-leveling suspension, and you get distinctive performance that matches the elegant design.

2006 Chrysler PacificaSafety
Pacifica is the first Chrysler vehicle to pass through the Chrysler Development System's Quality Gates, a series of high-standard checkpoint tasks and accomplishments required for a vehicle to make it to the road. When the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) put it through its paces, Pacifica received five stars**, the government's highest front and side impact crash test rating. Now, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has made the 2004 Pacifica a 'Best Pick Frontal' selection in its frontal offset crash test. Pacifica also earned the Ú.S. Government's best rating for rollover resistance of all SÚVs tested.

Pacifica goes the extra mile to keep you and your family out of harm's way by including active safety features like:

- Standard ABS Brakes
- Tire-pressure monitoring system standard on Limited and available on Touring models
- All-wheel-drive or low-speed traction control
- Available all-wheel-drive or low-speed traction control
- Optional high-intensity-discharge (HID) headlamps, available on Limited and Touring models, provide three times the light output of conventional lamps.

The ParkSense™ Rear Park Assist System** uses sound waves to detect nearby obstacles in and near the rear path of the vehicle to help you maneuver in tight spaces at parking speeds. Audio-visual indicators in the overhead display at the rear of the vehicle alert you to the proximity of most larger, stationary objects that might be outside your line of sight. ParkSense is standard on Limited, available on Touring models.

You can't control the weather, but you can anticipate it. For ice, snow, and slick roads, Pacifica's available all-wheel drive (AWD) system provides better forward traction. The system transfers power from the front wheels to the rear to help keep the car safely on the road. Meanwhile, Pacifica and Touring front-wheel drive (FWD) offer available traction control for better command of the road when bad weather strikes.

With Pacifica, every passenger has additional protection in the event of a collision. Pacifica's passive safety features include:
- Advanced multistage driver and front-passenger air bags with Occupant Classification System**
- Inflatable knee blocker for the driver
- Side-window laminated glass, available on Touring and Limited models, helps prevent shattering in the event of a collision, and reduces noise and ÚV rays

Pacifica's available three rows of seating allow you to transport up to six passengers in style. And with a comprehensive array of safety features like the safety cage vehicle structure, available side-curtain air bags, and available tire-pressure monitoring system, you'll get them there safely, too. In fact, the 2006 Pacifica earned five stars, the highest score possible in NHTSA frontal and side-impact testing.
